Take a chance and gamble . . .

Have you ever really sat down and thought about what it would be like to have all the money you would ever need and never have to work again? I think of this daily. I have a great job that I am VERY good at and I love the people I work with. BUT… I have been doing it for so long that its redundant and downright un-eventful. I go to work expecting the same issues, with the same people. It’s gotten to the point where I would rather stay at home watching info-mericals all day than sit at my desk.

My solution: Lottery.

Imagine this: Winning the lotto. Quitting work. Finish school (before I get any older) . Open my open business. Be debt free. And most of all TRAVEL. There are so many places on this planet I need to see. I know it sounds like a fairy tale. But as they say ‘Dreams do come true’.

Now, my next steps  are to figure out how to play the lotto. I’ve got my numbers ready.

Wish me luck!

Listen

Have you ever heard a song that just makes you want to dance around your bedroom like Elisabeth Shue in ‘Adventures in Babysitting’? Well this song will do the trick!

Man o’ man am I glad that today is FRIDY! TGIF!!!

I’m not sure when exactly I became a workaholic but it has been brought to my attention that indeed I am. I think I need an intervention. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve worked above and beyond what I’m suppose to. I told my boss (who just happened to come back from a vacation) that I’m going to need some time off… I think I’m about to be burned / no charred  out! So the next step is where to go on vacation (cost effective of course) ? ? ? I think I need to make a list! Who doesn’t love lists (I mean the best part is crossing off the things you’ve accomplished!)

A day in the life. . .

1) Today is a VERY BIG day for our Country. I believe that this today we will finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Take a big sigh of relief that we finally elected a man who is going to take action and fix what others ‘broke’.

2) Not sure why but I woke up super early this morning. Like I was a kid on christmas. But not as fun or exciting. I guess if you call work an exciting surprise? !

3) It’s amazing how good you feel when you have not only a clean house, but a nice clean car. I treated my car to a nice car wash yesterday. It still gets me how it can take two hours for me to hand wash my car but at the car wash place it takes less than twenty minutes.

4) I start school a week from yesterday. I’m looking forward to my classes (really?) but not to the schedule.  On a typical day I wake up at 7 do my hair, leave the house by 8:10 get to work. Work from 9-6. 6:05 Change into school clothes. 6:10 on the road to school. 6;11 stuck in traffic. 6:45 arrive at school. Search for a parking spot 7:15 get a parking spot. 7:16 run to class (I hate being late). 9:50 dismissed from class and drive home. Once I get home I’m so warn out by my day all I have energy to do is eat, take a shower, and go to bed! Ah, to be twenty again!

5) Now, it’s that time again to start my day. Lucky me. I do have to say though, I’m blessed to even have a job. I don’t take it for granted. I think the job actually might take me for granted.

6) After reading this… I think I need a vacation.

Today's Events

Today has been a very productive day.

1) Slept in : I haven’t had really a weekend to take full advantage of in months. It was lovely to have no schedule.

2) Was able to find a cute outfit within a reasonable amount of time. Thought about it while I was taking a shower (I think that helped) I thank god that once I put it on it looked as cute as I thought it would!

3) Making a list is VERY helpful to me through these hard economic times. I love Target. Target loves my debit card. My bank account hates Target. Do I need to say more? Yes, I do. I stuck to the list and steered away from all temptations with the support of my sister.

4) Lunch. Amazing. I live in Southern California yet we have the best Cheese steak Sandwiches by the beach. Go figure.

5) Mall. Again I stuck to my list. Shop off the list for a moment. Get ring cleaned. Use gift cards to replace broken sunglasses. Attempt to find new bedding. Attempt incomplete (you like that football reference??) Leave mall and head home. So I think. Make a stop by the local Office Depot for binders (Pink of Course!)

6) Home at last! Change into comfy’s (Ah, Marin) watch the Inauguration Concert (Amazing). Start downloading songs to make a playlist on my i pod labeled “Obama Jams ‘09”

7) Reflect on the days events. Make a Tumblr. Listen to “Obama Jams ‘09” while making Tumblr. Remind myself that I am lucky enough to work in an industry that has all the major Holidays off!

8) Rest my eyes and start over again tomorrow.
